Inspired by laid-back ease of Southern California fused with sophistication of New York City, sensual collections are rooted in elevated designs, exceptional quality, and a low impact mindset. Neutral color palettes, flattering fits and luxurious, sustainably sourced fabrics transcend seasons and eschew trends. The brand was launched in 2018 by friends and fashion industry veterans, Lauren Arapage and Joshua Shaub.

Wind of Change

The name ANEMOS is the Greek word for wind, a weather pattern both Arapage and Shaub feel perfectly captures the coastal luxury ethos of their work. The duality of wind, its serene breezes and strong gusts, stillness, and speed are endlessly captivating. Anemos is a celebration of the energy that clears the space for evolution and an ode to nature—the greatest source of inspiration for the founders.

Ethical Choices

Arapage and Shaub keep a laser focus on sustainability and an environmentally friendly production process by manufacturing all their collections in Los Angeles. Sustainable eco fabrics are sourced from OKEO Step (Sustainable Textile Production) certified suppliers and all swimwear details from liners to metal trims and tortoise resin accents use recycled materials. Excess fabrics are repurposed and redyed for future collections, reducing production waste. All marketing and branding print pieces are printed on card stock made from biodegradable sugar cane.

Fashion Royalty

Both founders are California natives who started their fashion careers in New York. Arapage is a former press officer for Stella McCarney and Shaub is a former buying director for Moda Operandi. The duo draw on their shared experiences, love of nineties minimalism, vintage swimwear and passion for coastal locations and sustainable manufacturing to create considered collections each season.
